**PLEASE BE AWARE THIS IS A PROP, NOT SAFETY EQUIPMENT. IT WILL NOT PROVIDE ANY PROTECTION! THIS IS A WEARABLE COSTUME ART PIECE, NOT A FUNCTIONING MOTORCYCLE HELMET**

"Occasionally worn by the leader ( and sole member) of the Worst Gang of Neotropolis, Shitty Kitty. Previously made up of cat spliced humanoids, the gang turned out to be too lazy to get much done, opting to nap in the sun and ignore each other. A retired suborbital Sportzball athlete, Shitty Kitty likes to relive her glory days while trying to hustle a little scratch from fans in between sleeping sessions. "

This helmet was hand sculpted and cast with a semi flexible urethane. The visor is a store bought motorcycle bubble visor.

Stickers are original designs made by other artists ( see this post for credits) It also has actual scratch n' sniff stickers! They really smell!

The helmet weighs 3lbs ( AA batteries for the fan adds a lot)

The BLACK first layer of firm padding is glued in and cannot be removed ( besides the right half of the back padding that can be lifted to access wires and the quick connect wire for the fan battery pack- please see photo!) BLUE padding cannot be removed while GREY padding can be pulled out and repositioned using the velcro on the backs. You can buy a padding pack here or the smaller version here if you need to add more padding make the helmet fit more snugly.

FAN BATTERY- ( AA x 4 since i want them to last a long time! )It can be gently ripped away from it's velcro so that you can access the back and unscrew the cover to change the batteries. It also has a 2 pin quick connect just in case the battery pack fails and you can connect in another one that has the quick connect wire. I would be happy to send you an extra battery pack with a connector! The fans make it a bit harder to hear but they are really important for comfort!

The coin cell batteries are for the different back LEDs- I made the light sets separate since the 3 vertical row set can be a bit bright. This way you can be a little more low key with lights if you want! They can be hidden within the foam using the velcro backing.

The HUD, made by illumicyberwear has a small black button under the blue velcro cover. It can cycles through different lights with the last option flashing all of the color choices! The coin battery can be popped out by gently pushing in the metal tab on the left of the battery- it is a little fiddly so be careful!

Putting on the helmet: Please place it over the back of your head first and lower the front over your face- chin needs to rest inside the front so that it touches the inside padding. Press firmly but gently until your chin pops in. Close the chin strap gently, pull on the red loop to open it.

My wiring is not the cleanest but I did my best to make everything last. The fan battery pack ( 4 x AAAA) can be pulled out gently, it is held on with velcro. The coin cell battery packs ( 2 x 2032) are also held on with velcro and can be gently taken off from the padding for battery changes.

The back vent tube UV lights are covered by cotton batting ( white stuff) that helps the light diffuse and look a bit smoky when turned on.

The fans themselves ( 2 x 5v 50mm) can be peeled from the surface ( velcro) for adjustment but there is not much room for them to be repositioned. They are a bit loud but provide a great amount of relief and anti-fogging. I recommend wearing one of these too as it looks great with the helmet and will provide extra cooling.

- This urethane is sensitive to heat. Please keep it out of direct sunlight as it can warp under it's own weight when hot.

I recommend displaying these masks on a paper towel holder, motorcycle helmet display or a hat display to prevent warping that can occur from bearing it's own weight during long term display. If storing, please use bundled cloth/foam/paper inside the mask to support the shape.

-If the mask does not fit or has warped, It can be heat shaped by immersing it in very hot water and shaping gently while soft. You can also use a heat gun or heat in the oven at around 175 degrees for a few minutes. Set the shape you want by immersing the warm mask in cold water or leaving on an upturned bowl or object to hold the shape while it cools.

- This is a project that should be attempted by adults or under adult supervision. Please read all safety warnings on materials you use. I am not responsible for any injuries sustained while customizing these masks.

-This mask fits most faces but a perfect fit is not guaranteed.

- Do not use this as safety equipment or a welding mask or anything else but costuming. I am not responsible for injuries sustained through improper use of this mask.
