ACRYLIC ARMOR HARNESS PROTOTYPE #3

Regular price $150.00 $0.00 Unit price per

This is part of a series of experiments to figure out fit, shape, adjustment/strap options ,etc. This is a prototype and is not perfect!

These harnesses made from 1/8" laser cut acrylic.

This harness has 1" nylon straps that are adjustable using the bra slides. It has two contoured clips for easy on/off. The D-rings are homemade to match the acrylic color and I will send extras just in case they break!

The chicago screws holding on the D-rings are not locked and can be unscrewed to make your own changes. I would recommend locking them with a drop of super glue in the thread once you have everything sorted, otherwise they will loosen with wear. Also glue lock the nuts to prevent panels from loosening.

I would glue helmet liner foam on the back of the panels to cushion the back of the panels as they have small lock nuts that might dig in a bit. I like these pads but also plain soft foam can work too or try out EVA foam sheets!

The front panel is just under 12" across and has been heat shaped to sit high on the chest. The back panel is about 9" x 9". This will fit a 38" chest or smaller.

( Potrzebie is a Polish word meaning "need" that was used as a meme in Mad Magazine since the 1950's, i used it for my own amusement for these tests)
