ROBOT KITTY EARS BLANK CAST PAIR

Regular price $40.00 $0.00 Unit price per

These kitty ears were sculpted in clay and then cast in translucent urethane. They are 3 1/4" long and slightly curved on the inside to attach to a hat or helmet.  This is for a PAIR.

Most of these are mismatched because this is an inventory purge!

PLEASE NOTE: The edges are a bit thin on the inside edge of the inner ear, please be careful not to crack when sanding. You can use a drop of thick super glue on the back to add extra strength if you want!

The back of the ears will need to be sanded gently, there will be some mold flashing and seams! LED can be installed by CAREFULLY drilling a hole to install a domed LED OR  trying a flat micro SMD LED on the back with a coin cell battery pack ( you wont have to drill a hole). Or you can make it SUPER easy and just glue a few LEDs from a fairy light strand to the back of the ear!

I use a HIGH HEAT hot glue to attach my ears, regular hot glue can work too but the high heat stuff is super tough.

The ear can be painted so that the light only shows out of the tip or whatever section you choose. Use a bit of clay to make a "mask" shape and then prime with black spray primer- i also brushed on some Stuart Semple ultra black flat paint to further obscure any light coming through. Then just remove the clay mask and paint normally! Any paint that accidentally goes over the unpainted clear bit can be scraped off with the flat blade of an exacto knife. Gloss the unpainted tip to really make the bright plastic pop!
