These are cast using a cold casting technique with copper powder. The surface of the mask is copper while the urethane is mixed with copper powder- the mask is not itself pure copper. I chose copper for it's antimicrobial properties BUT I will strongly encourage wearers to still disinfect them if they are used as part of PPE gear. The copper is just to make the surface slightly less likely to house microbes but is absolutely not going to be clean of contaminants without cleaning. These are meant to be worn over a cloth mask and can be shaped for a better fit using heat ( hair dryer/heat gun) to bend the edges. Thinner areas can be reinforced with hot glue or putties.
Wearers with strong jawlines should try trimming off the bottom inner curve around the chin and along the jaw of the mask. That way you can talk without the mask being pulled down from catching on your jaw. It was sculpted to my own face and may be smallish on some folks.
A light pass with steel wool and a wash n wipe of black acrylic will really make this look cool! Drill out the holes and cheek parts ( cover with cloth) so you can breathe, these will be sent as raw casts!
The cheek part can be carefully cut out with an exacto knife and heating up the surface a bit.
