The Baku is a creature from Japanese folklore that eats nightmares! It is summoned after a nightmare by saying "Baku, devour my dream! Baku, devour my dream! Baku, devour my dream!" They are said to have the trunk of an elephant, the body of a bear and the paws of a tiger. Baku are a sacred animal, carved onto temples and painted onto folding screens to protect humans from illness and evil.

These 3.5 " finished figures were cast in cold cast iron. This is a technique of combining metal powder with urethane to create the feel and weight of a metal casting without the expense and danger of using molten metal. These can even be polished with steel wool like real metal. 

 Each necklace is made of crystal, copper and bone beads. The eyes are reflective glass.
