BABY BAKU BLANK GLOW IN THE DARK CAST- RED/ PURPLE COLOR SHIFT

The Baku is a creature from Japanese folklore that eats nightmares! It is summoned after a nightmare by saying "Baku, devour my dream! Baku, devour my dream! Baku, devour my dream!" They are said to have the trunk of an elephant, the body of a bear and the paws of a tiger. Baku are a sacred animal, carved onto temples and painted onto folding screens to protect humans from illness and evil.

These 3.5" tall figures were hand sculpted and then cast in translucent urethane. Each cast will come with a pair of plain glass 8mm eyes that can be glued into the sockets. Paint the backs of the glass eyes with acrylic paint, I like to use metallics!

Figure can be painted with acrylic paint or left plain! They glow BLUE in the dark but the red version don't glow as well. These have a color shifting surface that will be even more color-shifty once a gloss clear coat is applied.

Here is a little tutorial on how to bring out the details of the cast without needing to paint it and cover the glow in the dark effect:

1: Mix isoproyl alcohol and acrylic ink together

2: Brush on the mixture! Use a good amount of ink in the mix so it comes out dark.

3: Dab with a paper towel to remove a little of the color from the surface. Just dab, you dont want to soak up the color from the recessed areas.

4: Once it's dried, gently buff the surface with a slightly moistened with isopropyl paper towel, this will remove a bit more from the surface and will bring the details out more.

5: Use a clear gloss to seal it and really bring out the sparkles! You can also use matte/satin/whatever finish but the gloss really makes the subsurface colors come out.
