Why is my panther mask thin in some spots?
A few people had expressed interest in cutting the jaw of the panther mask off to make it into a moving, attached piece. To make this a little easier, the masks are made so that the areas near the tooth line are a little more thin. This will not affect the structural integrity of your mask- the thin spots can be easily thickened with light weight putty like Free Form Air or a wood epoxy putty. Please keep in mind that a little patching and sanding is part of buying a DIY mask!
DIY edition is almost all mailed! New mask coming...
All but THREE of the pre-ordered DIY blank panther masks have been fulfilled! Hooray! It was a large edition and adding in the holiday delay, it took slightly longer than usual to get all these out. I hope everyone is happy with their mask...THANK YOU all. I will have about half of the finished silver masks out by early to late next week with the other half to follow soon after. I'm also prepping for a convention in late March so its crazy around here.... A NEW mask design is being sculpted on my weekend time and will be open...
Hooray- silver panther maks news

Once i prime each mask , they will still need to be painted, sealed and have straps and foam added before they are mailed. But at least there is a small window of time to jump on soon! DIY blank masks are very very close...
OUCH
So i have a pile of packages that need to be filled with orders and it's something i want to deal with tonight- but i also woke up with a wicked painful hitch in my back so I'm moving a little slower than usual. Not sure what happened but every time i move ( or breathe too deep ) it hurts pretty bad! Please bear with me- this is not fun haha ;P
YET ANOTHER PANTHER MASK UPDATE!
On the last leg of the DIY production, down to the last few dozen- getting close but its still going to take some time! Had another mold give up the ghost, will have to make a new one this weekend. With super ornate designs like this, the silicone is under more stress and stretch thanks to severe undercuts. You can condition the molds to last a little longer but sometimes there is nothing you can do, especially when you are doing a large number of casts. Hoping to get all the DIYs out by the end of the month with...
